Rental confirmation numbers given but no vehicle available

If you need a rental car, forget it! Made two reservations, got 2 confirmation reservation numbers.
Before make it to enterprise rental car in Southport, received a phone call from them saying they did not have a vehicle after giving the confirmation number. Call enterprise car rental in Shallotte and spoke to someone in that office, made the reservation, receive the confirmation reservation number via text message, drove from Southport all the way to Shallotte for a 4 oclock reservation and as we walked in the business, the manager was holding the phone in his hand to call and tell us they did not have a vehicle to rent us! Im sorry ENTERPRISE but that is very bad business. Currently waiting on a return phone call from this district manager!.
Seems that there is a rental car shortage because of the computer trip shortage that is currently going on with car manufacturers. How do you give someone a confirmation reservation number for a 4 oclock pick up and know you dont have a car available?

Rented a vehicle and they put the wrong license plate on the contract. I have received over $50 in toll charges for a car I didnt have.
I called to discuss and they said to stop in. I drove the 45 mins to stop in and talk about it and they said they would look into it and get back to me. After a few days I followed up for them to tell me to call citations dept. I called citations and then they told me to fill out a form and upload proof.
I was out of the country on business during most of the rental period where the car was sitting in my garage. I got a response from citations and they said my flight information wasnt proof enough even though I was clearly not in the area when tolls were being taken. I proceeded to show the map that tolls were taken near Schaumburg and I live the complete opposite direction 45 mins from the rental location. The mileage doesnt even add up.
I was not cited for the tolls taken out on the road I would take to get the car but that doesnt seem to matter. It doesnt matter what you provide it wont be proof enough. The Citations dept (who is in Oklahoma somewhere I might add so doesnt know the area) said they would contact the branch manager and get back to me. I waited 2 weeks and followed up and they were unable to talk to the manager.
They said they would try again and then said they still cant reach them. This has been going on for 6 weeks. Its absolutely ridiculous to go through all the steps and hoops they have asked, given proof the tolls weren't mine for them to tell me its not proof enough and then they cant reach the manager after multiple attempts?? How convenient they cant get a hold of them.
Everything is bait and switch here. Everything from the contract being wrong, wont return calls, continuous hoops to go through to go nowhere.
They will take you for what ever they can and give you the run around. Not to mention, nobody I have talked to has been very friendly along the way.
