Rental confirmation numbers given but no vehicle available

PSA for today!

If you need a rental car, forget it! Made two reservations, got 2 confirmation reservation numbers.

Before make it to enterprise rental car in Southport, received a phone call from them saying they did not have a vehicle after giving the confirmation number. Call enterprise car rental in Shallotte and spoke to someone in that office, made the reservation, receive the confirmation reservation number via text message, drove from Southport all the way to Shallotte for a 4 oclock reservation and as we walked in the business, the manager was holding the phone in his hand to call and tell us they did not have a vehicle to rent us! Im sorry ENTERPRISE but that is very bad business. Currently waiting on a return phone call from this district manager!.

Seems that there is a rental car shortage because of the computer trip shortage that is currently going on with car manufacturers. How do you give someone a confirmation reservation number for a 4 oclock pick up and know you dont have a car available?

Never got my *** back and enterprise expressed no concern in the matter nor made much of an effort outside of answering a phone call into returning my belongings to me.( Id like to make a big shout out to enterprise for taking all my dirty laundry off my hands. Never got it back clean but oh well.)

Truck I rented had NO OIL IN ENGINE .HAD TO PAY FOR 8 QUARTS OF OIL AND TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE I WAS STOPPED BY PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE FOR EXPIRED STATE INSPECTION AND WHEN GIVEN TRUCK I WAS TOLD IT WAS BEING CLEANED . WHAT A JOKE I HAD TO CLEAN WINDSHIELD AND CENTER CONSOLE THAT HAD STICKY SYRUP ON ARM REST disgusted.

Rude and inconsiderate manager

I had reserved a large SUV for vacation for me, my kids, fiancé and mother to be comfortable and have room. I dont care about the price. On the email I was given it said a credit OR debit card. I read over the email time and time again. I had the full payment. They would not let me reserve the SUV with my debit card, add anyone else to my reservation or do anything to help with what I reserved without a credit card only in my name. Ok, thats fine. I get it, thats the policy. But the email should be more clear. When I called to talk to the manager, he talked over me and was so rude and laughing . Ive never felt so disrespected by a manager. He did absolutely nothing to help but belittle me. Wouldnt even let me speak. Telling me I was wrong and I should be paying more attention to the email and should have clicked on it.

Cracked windshield

The windshield on my Enterprise car rental was hit by a rock and ended up cracking along the bottom. I unfortunately declined the insurance so I wound up paying $500 out of my pocket for a $150 windshield which is my fault for declining the insurance but I just got a bill in the mail for $103 in administrative fees which is total *** and I wont be paying

Well never had a problem with a rented vehicle. But in this case someone knife my rear left tire on the side wall at the motel 6 in Livingston,Texas. The car I rented had a spare but no tire jack. After calling a couple of toll free numbers for roadside assistances none of the area Enterprises rental car were open to replace the car. Roadside assistance said go to the nearest airport to exchange the car. It was to far and out of my way. So I made the decision to wait for someone to come out of a motel room and ask for help to change the tire using there tire jack. Thats how we got home.

Returned a rental and tried to get my deposit and was told it would be mailed to me.Asked for a supervisor as we were not advised of this issue and was left on hold for 45 min till my phone died! Called customet service line and was told cant help without rental agreement number.Was through insurance so had no reciept no help no shuttles no service and now no money to get rental elsewhere. NOW MY DAUGHTER MISSED HER WEEK AT CAMP. .LOCATION was Chahtam Ont Canada.Sherri Wing rentet

Charged for over $50 in Tolls That Weren’t Mine and Horrendous Customer Service

Rented a vehicle and they put the wrong license plate on the contract. I have received over $50 in toll charges for a car I didnt have.

I called to discuss and they said to stop in. I drove the 45 mins to stop in and talk about it and they said they would look into it and get back to me. After a few days I followed up for them to tell me to call citations dept. I called citations and then they told me to fill out a form and upload proof.

I was out of the country on business during most of the rental period where the car was sitting in my garage. I got a response from citations and they said my flight information wasnt proof enough even though I was clearly not in the area when tolls were being taken. I proceeded to show the map that tolls were taken near Schaumburg and I live the complete opposite direction 45 mins from the rental location. The mileage doesnt even add up.

I was not cited for the tolls taken out on the road I would take to get the car but that doesnt seem to matter. It doesnt matter what you provide it wont be proof enough. The Citations dept (who is in Oklahoma somewhere I might add so doesnt know the area) said they would contact the branch manager and get back to me. I waited 2 weeks and followed up and they were unable to talk to the manager.

They said they would try again and then said they still cant reach them. This has been going on for 6 weeks. Its absolutely ridiculous to go through all the steps and hoops they have asked, given proof the tolls weren't mine for them to tell me its not proof enough and then they cant reach the manager after multiple attempts?? How convenient they cant get a hold of them.

Everything is bait and switch here. Everything from the contract being wrong, wont return calls, continuous hoops to go through to go nowhere.

They will take you for what ever they can and give you the run around. Not to mention, nobody I have talked to has been very friendly along the way.

I never got my deposit back

When i rented the car the actual charge was $207 and they added a 300 deposit to be refunded on return on time. I returned it on time and extended the rental and paid extension with a different card . ive never recieved my deposit back to my credit card of $300.
