Enterprise has so severely disappointed me before that I had decided to never again do business with them.

However, my Toyota truck needed to be in shop for several days and Toyota told me they would give me a loaner car. Disappointingly, this is managed through Enterprise. But as Toyota was footing the bill and I did not know how many days I would be without a vehicle, I decided I had nothing to lose in this situation of "doing business" with Enterprise.

Boy, did they fool me!

Elizabeth Kolar, the manager that day, informed me that I would need to give them my credit card information 'as a security deposit' which would be refunded to me upon safe return of the vehicle. Ok, reasonable enough.

She offered Enterprise insurance (for which I, not Toyota, would have been charged), which I declined, because I have full coverage insurance.

We took a walk around the car and I was quite detailed about noting every minor scratch, which she dismissed with "oh, we don't worry about the small scratches". The car was just washed and so still wet but as I had to work that night and was already short on sleep, I said "don't worry about drying it as my time is more valuable than the cleanliness of the car". She responds with an ok.

I drive the car home (literally a mile and half) with no incident and park it in my enclosed garage.

So, now check this out - I RIDE MY BICYCLE AND THE BUS for the three (3) days knowing how dissatisfactory and no good Enterprise is as a business. I don't want to chance anything to happen to the car. So Toyota calls Wednesday evening and says the truck is ready to pick up. I have to work so I figure I'll retrieve the truck and return the car the next morning. My wife and I run a couple errands on the way to Enterprise and drop off the car. While waiting on the Enterprise agent, "Rich" to check the car, he summons me out to look at it.

I come out to find a small scraping-type scratch on the rear quarter panel which CLEARLY took place BEFORE I rented the car - remember how I mentioned that the car had not been dried before I departed upon initially picking it up? The now dusty spots where the water dried were still there...not to mention THE CAR HAD BEEN IN MY ENCLOSED 1.5 car garage with nothing to possibly inflict this minor damage.

Rich gives me his little "oh we just need to write a report" spiel which I am old enough to see through - he plans on charging this to my insurance. As I am incredibly angered by this, I go outside to sit down and try to collect my thoughts. While I am sitting out there, my wife comes out and informs me that he told her that it would be between $600 and $1,000 to fix.

I was so concerned about not chancing damage to the car that I DID NOT EVEN DRIVE THE CAR TO WORK. Do you hear me? And now this guy is trying to have me pay SIX HUNDRED TO ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS for damage I CLEARLY did not cause?

Add to this that he, for all practical purposes, calls me a liar? For example, upon pointing out the droplets from the wash, he says "it rained the other day" after I CLEARLY told him I parked the car in my enclosed garage and did not even drive it to work (or anywhere else, just to be clear, other than the aforementioned to my house and the two errands on the way in to Enterprise).

Add this to my prior experience with Enterprise and basically, as far as I'm concerned, Enterprise Rental Car can burn in ***.
